On the road with Orlando Webcasts

January kicked off with  a trip to two very different parts of the United States. First off, our group (myself and three client representatives) traveled to Detroit, Michigan. I've travled through Detroit on several occasions, but this was the first chance to use their train in the Delta Concourse.

I arrived a few hours earlier than my clients, which provided an opportunity to visit a museum that had been on my list for quite some time: The Henry Ford. Yes, that Henry Ford. It's a remarkable museum in Dearborn, loaded with not only a magnificent collection of automobiles, but with an impressive collection that spans the history of this nation and ranges from Presidential Limousines and farm tractors to airplanes and trains.

While we are a webcasting company, our clients, on occasion, need interviews and other video elements filmed for their events. Our background prior to webcasting was network television, so we're able to assist in producing, filming and editing those elements.

After completing filming in Detroit, it was back to the airport for a flight to Phoenix, Arizona. Quite a change from the snow and cold temperatures, but a welcomed one.

It was another morning of filming near downtown Phoenix, followed by a drive through Scottsdale before heading back to the airport. Of course, when you're from the east coast and traveling in select western states, there is a law (I've been told) that requires you to have a meal at In-N-Out Burger. Who am I to argue?

After lunch, it was a short drive back to the airport for our afternoon flight home. Two nights on the road, 4000 miles flown. Three interviews completed. Let the editing begin!
