Orlando

Last minute live stream? No problem!

"We need you to live stream our meeting...tomorrow!" Those were the words of a caller not long ago. And the next day, we streamed all 8 hours of his one-day conference.

Orlando is one of the top convention and meeting cities in the United States, so it's no surprise that many of these conferences host top speakers, make major announcements and share life-changing breakthroughs. It's critically important that these messages reach as many employees, members, investors or stakeholders as possible.

If those people can't be in Orlando, live streaming is the best way to reach them and Orlando Webcasts makes it easy - even on those last minute events.

Sometimes the weather interferes with attendees arriving on time. Other times, the decision to live stream the conference is made on site. No matter the reason, we're here to help.

Whether you need an entire production crew, or just the streaming service or camera crew, we're a phone call away, and our office is minutes from the convention district along International Drive.

There's never a late notice surcharge fee for our services. If we have the crew available, you'll get them at our standard price.

Need last minute help on your event? No problem. Give us a call or send us an email and we'll provide a free quote with the solution for your live streaming, webcasting, encoding or video production needs.

Fourth of July in Orlando

On Independence Day, 2018, much of the country will take the day off and enjoy time with friends and family. Many will cap the evening watching a fireworks show.

If you're in Orlando, you have some of the best fireworks displays in the nation on a nightly basis (looking at you, WDW) and Visit Orlando has published a list that includes the more popular fireworks shows in the region.

The City of Orlando features a great evening of entertainment at one of our favorite spots - Lake Eola.

No matter where you watch fireworks, we wish you a happy, safe and memorable Fourth of July!

We'll be out celebrating the 4th of July as well, so give us a call on the 5th of July to discuss your webcasting, encoding and live streaming needs. Thank you!

Live streaming for conferences and meetings

Orlando is the number one meeting destination in the country, with thousands of events occurring every year at the Orange County Convention Center and the many surrounding convention hotels and centers.

"Orlando continues to invest in our industry every year, with even more new additions to our expansive convention center district, innovative new venues and attractions, and more quality dining options for every type of group," said Visit Orlando President and CEO George Aguel. "To receive the honor of once again being recognized by Cvent as the No. 1 meetings destination in the country, only reinforces our ongoing commitment to this important industry" reported Cvent in it's annual report of top meeting destinations.

An increasing number of those meetings stream keynote and general sessions, as well as top breakout sessions to associates, customers and other stakeholders, and Orlando Webcasts streams many of those sessions.

Our Meeting and Conference and Encoding Services allow clients to secure the needed crew and equipment with a single phone call. We work hand in hand with on-site A/V companies including PSAV, Cramer, Production Resource Group and other event production companies to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

When the weather impacts your conference, Live Stream it!

Most of our live stream events are booked weeks in advance, but earlier this month, we received a call for a next-day stream. Winter weather was  wreaking havoc in the Northeast and airlines were cancelling flights, which impacted attendees for a conference here in Orlando.

To solve this problem, the conference organizers decided to live stream a full day of their two-day event, allowing those who couldn't make it to Orlando to attend virtually.

Orlando Webcasts provided the camera, wireless microphones, audio mixer, converter equipment and laptops for the 9-hour live stream. We connected to the clients GoToWebinar account where the remote viewers connected to the live conference. We connected to the internet with a wired connection provided by the hotel.

This was a small conference, so every attendee was very important. Using an existing asset, GoToWebinar, the organizers insured those stuck in the Northeast were not left out in the cold!

We were pleased to be part of the solution and worked with the client to provide our crew and equipment at an affordable price that met their budget.

Thinking about live streaming your conference, keynote or session? Orlando Webcasts can live stream to any social or business platform and can provide the camera, microphones, lighting and all the encoding equipment needed to connect you to your audience. Take time to see more of Orlando

While Orlando is rightfully known as the theme park capital of the world, the City Beautiful and it's surrounding communities offer a host of activities that keep us locals busy.

The New York Times recently published their suggestions for how to spend 36 hours in Orlando. It's a good primer for the visitor who wants to explore more of O-Town and it's neighbors, no matter how many hours you have!

October Surprises

Fall weather is finally in the air in Orlando! Cooler temperatures and lower humidity are making for great days to be outside, though nearly every job we have is inside! Nonetheless, we'll take it!

It's days like the one in the picture above that reminds me of why Central Florida is my home.

October days have been filled with webcasting projects. We spent three days at Disney's Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa this month encoding a webcast for Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC). The production required three satellite trucks that downlinked presenters from other cities, and uplinked local presentations to other cities. A great production and we were pleased to encode the meeting for the web audience.

Happy Independence Day!

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day holiday! We'll be enjoying time with friends and family, but we'll be back to work July 5th.

Opportunities in Orlando

Orlando is world-famous for it's theme parks and attractions. Over 65 million visitors annually - and growing. But there is a lot more to The City Beautiful than just theme parks. It's a growing home to entrepreneurs, high-tech, healthcare and manufacturing. It also is home to the new Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, numerous sports teams including the Orlando Magic and Major League Soccer's Orlando City Lions and an incredible variety of outdoor activities - from hiking, sailing, biking, fishing, swimming and much, much more.

In other words, we're quite proud to call Orlando home. With so much to offer businesses looking for a home to start, relocate or expand, it's no surprise the Orlando Economic Development Council decided to create a video that showcases this 'amazing place to live and do business.' Take a look:

We can attest to the life well lived in Orlando. Mike Forrester, President of Orlando Corporate Media, Inc., parent of Orlando Webcasts, is a fourth generation Floridian and Orlando native. While much of his career was spent working and living in other states, it took little incentive for him to define, develop and open a new business that allowed him to return to his home town. Orlando is like that. After all, there's a lot of magic in Orlando.

Orlando Webcasts can create a little magic with your next meeting, conference, town hall, training session or event. Contact us to find out how webcasting and live streaming video of your event can reach an audience around the company or around the globe. Call us at 407-362-9490 or email us at [email protected]

Holiday thoughts from Orlando Webcasts

We're looking forward to an exciting 2017 with Orlando Webcasts. Orlando is my hometown. It's where I grew up and became fascinated with the video business. Nearly twenty years ago, opportunities took me to Atlanta, where I contracted with CNN, The Weather Channel and numerous other clients on live and taped television and video projects. I learned a great deal in that time. I met wonderful people, had memorable experiences and witnessed firsthand the changes in how video is both produced and delivered to audiences.

In the last several years, I've transitioned from producing live television to producing live streaming video and webcasts. It was a natural transition thanks in large part to technology. No longer do I need a satellite truck to transit live video - laptops, software and an internet connection now provide the same quality without the huge overhead.

In 2015, I decided to focus solely on webcasting and streaming media production. With the start of 2017, we're moving the business to Orlando, changing our name and going live with Orlando Webcasts. It's an exciting time as we return to our hometown while continuing to serve our clients from around the country with production, encoding and webcasting services.

We may be the new kids on the block, but our roots in Orlando...and webcasting...run very deep.

We wish you a wonderful holiday and prosperous 2017.

-Mike Forrester
